More grading and some actual pattern writing (Daily Update: 30/8/19)

I got a rejection letter from Knit Picks today. They sent out a call for submissions for Mosaic stitch patterns a few weeks ago and I was really excited - I love mosaic knitting. Plus I got my dad to draw the sketch of the pattern for me because he’s great at drawing and I wanted the submission to look professional. No worries, I’m going to try and find more magazines/collections to submit to.

My dad’s sketch for my pattern submission. Isn’t he great?! Ah well, better luck next time.

After staring at my grading sheet for a while I’m unsure about my plan to base everything on a C cup. I’ve adjusted everything up a bust size and changed my size ranges a little, so they now look like this:

Size Bust range (in inches) Based on this bust size in the Ysolda chart
1 27 - 30 30
2 31 - 34 32
3 35 - 38 36
4 39 - 42 40
5 43 - 46 44
6 47 - 50 48
7 51 - 54 52
8 55 - 58 56
9 59 - 62 60

The new sizes actually worked out to the point that they could potentially even fit me without too many adjustments, which I’m taking as a good sign!

I also found the Rainbow Top pattern by Francoise Danoy that has a very detailed schematic that I’m using to sanity check my measurements, and it’s looking pretty good.
